Testimonial by Barney's owner
"Our black Labrador retreiver Barney suffered a spinal stroke on 3rd September 2007. He was paralysed from the neck down and his eyes had stopped making tears He spent 12 days in a specialist vet centre and then came home, unable to walk but showing signs of improvement. We were advised that he would need hydrotherapy and physiotherapy to aid his recovery.
Barney now swims at Meadow Farm Hydrotherapy twice a week and they recommended Sarah Clemson for his physiotherapy."

"We saw Sarah for an initial consultation at Meadow Farm and have been seeing her about once a week since then. Without Sarah's care and advice, we believe that Barney's recovery would have been considerably slower.

Maisie's Story
Maisie suffered a disc prolapse which caused paralysis to her hind limbs. After surgey she had minimal movement in her back legs and was unable to stand or walk. Treatment consisted of active assisted neurological rehabilitation/ physiotherapy and Maisie had a home physio programme which her owner carried out daily. Over several weeks Maisie received regular physiotherapy and hydrotherapy and gradually regained the ability to function independently again, much to the relief of her dedicated owner.

Barney suffered a fibrocartilaginous embolism in September 2007. Thanks to his dedicated owners, he received the intensive therapy he needed and made an excellent recovery. Barney's owners carried out his daily physio programme provided by Sarah and he also had hydrotherapy - It wasn't long before his balance began to improve and he was able to get back to some of his usual pleasures. The combintion of swimming and physio in the early stages of recovery worked well for Barney. Barney maintains his function with maintenance hydrotherapy.

"She has given us new exercises for Barney at each visit, which take into account the changes in his body and the need to change how we are treating him. She has provided equipment and has been at the end of the phone for advice, when we have had any worries. She has kept us and Barney motivated throughout.

We are now at about 80% recovery physically and Barney is able to walk on his own, although not always in a stright line! His eyes are getting better as well."

When your dog has suferred a trauma, you cannot deal with this alone and I would recommend Sarah to any one needing help and support with their pet."
